2011 Top Five Street Rods
Yesterday at the 14th Goodguys PPG Nationals, our 1933 Roadster was named one of the top five street rods of 2011.

These awards are presented by Classic Instruments to the top five street rods of the year, then they pick the winner from the top five.

Although we did not achieve the highest award this year, just being picked as a top five finalist is incredible and a great honor.

This July 8th through 10th, 2011 D&D Specialty Cars will be one of over 400 vendors at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, OH for the Goodguys 14th Annual PPG Nationals presented by Bridgestone.
Join us there as we continue to showcase our top quality cars and cutting edge products that keep us at the top of the custom rod world.

The event’s hours are 8AM to 5PM Friday and Saturday and 8AM to 3 PM on Sunday. Parking is $6, kids under 6 are free, kids 7 to 12 are $6, and general admission is $18. More information can be found here.
Also, get ready for the Goodguys Autocross Challenge. Friday and Saturday at 9AM until Noon AND 2PM until 3PM you can take the challenge and put your Street Rod, Street Machine or Truck through the paces and test your driving skills to see how your car can handle in a performance situation! The course will be laid out inside the event venue and will have plenty of turns and curves to test even the best-tuned suspension and skills.
As if that’s not enough, on top of all the Vendor & Manufacturer Exhibits, the huge Swap Meet, and the Cars 4 Sale Corral, there will be over 7,000 Hot Rods, Customs, Classics, Muscle Cars, and Trick Trucks thru ’72 featured at this year’s event. There will also be a Poker Run, Goodgals Gallery, Hot Rod Seminars, and more.

Good Times and Great Weather at Goodguys Colorado Nationals
This past weekend at the Goodguys 14th Annual Colorado Nationals in Loveland, CO at the Ranch Events Complex, the weather was beautiful with practically no humidity! Every single day of the event was great and there was a huge turnout of nice cars and great people.

Good Times at Nashville Nationals
The Goodguys 6th Bridgestone Nashville Nationals went great! Thanks to everyone who came by to visit us at the event.
The weather was gorgeous throughout most of the event; it was a great idea to change the dates of the event from the normal late June to the end of May. (Normally it’s so hot that your sandals melt to the pavement!)
We had a blast at the Advanced Plating Kickoff Party and the tour of the business was fantastic!
